Schedule of Classes

Tony's Tennis Camp offers lessons to a wide range of students. Lessons are being held now. These sessions will be held for Adults, Advanced Young Adults (13-18), Intermediate (9-18), and Children (4-9). Indoor sessions will be available for the Winter season only. Several tennis camps are available for children of all ages are offered this summer! Private Instructions are also available. Sign up today to learn to love the game!

While your taking class, don't forget to have your racquet inspected. If it needs to be restrung or have a new grip applied, we can handle that for you, too. To learn more, go to our services.

Adult Lessons

The great thing about Tony's Tennis Camp is that there are a variety of lessons for every skill level.

We are moving forward to offer safe, High Quality Tennis (with fewer attendees). The bottom line is:

  • The number of players on the court will be low and the level of play will be high.
  • We will have four / six people on the court with a pro.
  • You need to contact Tony to reserve a place or buy all of the places for your group.
  • If you are a no show, you will still be charged.
  • If there are fewer than four players, it will cost double the number of players to reflect the cost of a semi-private lesson.
  • Lastly, if you are playing tennis with Tony's Tennis Camp, you need to read the Federal Guidelines to Playing Tennis Safely.

Dates: Saturdays, March 9 to April 13
Times: 10:30 AM - 12 AM
Target Audience: Adults (Level 3.0 to 3.5)

Cost: $100 for five lessons or $25 per session

Advanced Young Adult Lessons
This class is designed for young adults (ages 14 to 18) who are part of high school varsity programs or tournament level players.

Children's Lessons
Do you want your child to learn to love the game? This class is customized for students who want to learn the game in a fun-filled environment. This class is designed for 4-9 year olds.

We are moving forward to offer safe, High Quality Tennis (with fewer attendees). The bottom line is:

  • The number of players on the court will be low and the level of play will be high.
  • We will have four / six people on the court with a pro.
  • You need to contact Tony to reserve a place or buy all of the places for your group.
  • If you are a no show, you will still be charged. There are no make-up sessions or refunds.
  • Every hour is a session. All 6 sessions must be used by the end of six weeks of class. No makeups or refunds
  • If there are fewer than four players, it will cost double the number of players to reflect the cost of a semi-private lesson.
  • Lastly, if you are playing tennis with Tony's Tennis Camp, you need to read the Federal Guidelines to Playing Tennis Safely.

Class: Class G2
Dates: Saturdays, May 4 to June 1 (If KHS' graduation gets pushed to Saturday, class will be cancelled.)
Times: 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
Target Audience: Children ages 6-12 Beginners
Location: Kennett High School
Cost: $35 per session ($180 for all six classes)

Class: Class L4
Dates: Saturdays, Sept 7 to Oct 5
Times: 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
Target Audience: Children (ages 7-12)
Location: Kennett High School
Cost: $35 session ($180 for all six classes)
Every hour is a session. All 6 sessions must be used by the end of six weeks of class. No makeups or refunds.

 

Intermediate Lessons
This class is designed for 9-14 year olds who want to learn the game or build on their fundamentals.

We are moving forward to offer safe, High Quality Tennis (with fewer attendees). The bottom line is:

  • The number of players on the court will be low and the level of play will be high.
  • We will have four / six people on the court with a pro.
  • You need to contact Tony to reserve a place or buy all of the places for your group.
  • If you are a no show, you will still be charged.
  • If there are fewer than four players, it will cost double the number of players to reflect the cost of a semi-private lesson.
  • Lastly, if you are playing tennis with Tony's Tennis Camp, you need to read the Federal Guidelines to Playing Tennis Safely.

Tennis Camps
We proudly offer one and two week tennis camps in the summer time for children of all ages. Additionally, we have prep sessions for high school students getting ready for their high school programs. To help you start planning now, we are announcing the following camps.

Tennis Clinics
Tony's Tennis Camp offers indoor evening and afternoon clinics to our students at the Hockessin Indoor Tennis Club. Membership fees are not required for the country club to join us!

Pricing for private lessons is based on audience size.

  • Private lessons
    • One-on-one for 30 minutes: $60
    • One-on-one for 60 minutes: $120
  • Semi-private lessons
    • Two students for 60 minutes: $60 per student
    • Three students for 60 minutes: $40 per student
    • Four to six students for 60 minutes: $30 per student
